Bike Resort

For anyone and anything on 2 wheals

Slovenia has one of the most beautiful and versatile cycling routes in Europe. From the quiet Alpine valleys and beautiful lakes of Bled and Bohinj to the Slovenian coast towns, you will always enjoy the fresh mountain air and incredible scenery without too much climbing.

If you can drag your eyes away from the mountains, there is a lot to do. For those who like humps and jumps, the bike park in Kranjska Gora will offer them the ultimate kick, and if you are motivated, we suggest you to climb the Vrsic mountain pass and descend into the Trenta valley, where you can explore one of the most beautiful valleys in Slovenia.

There are many well-maintained cycling routes available for family cycling, which stretch to neighboring Italy…

It’s not just a ride

Bike Park
Kranjska Gora

Into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.

The park’s cycling trails run along the ski slope right next to our apartments. The starting point with the lower chairlift station is only about 3 min walk away. The ultimate gravity-fed downhill biking experience offers you 5 basic tracks and almost 20 km of trails designed to appeal to every skill level.

Apart from the appropriate bicycle and protective equipment (which you can also rent on the spot), you will not need much fitness, as the chairlift will take care of the whole ride uphill. All you have left is a carefree all-day descent down the slopes of the Vitranc hill.

To keep your balance

You must keep moving

If you decide to take the route in the direction of Mojstrana along the D2 cycling route, be sure to stop in Martuljek and visit the Martuljek Waterfalls (on foot) or the idyllic alpine village in Srednji Vrh. D2 route is easy and without ascents, which is suitable for smaller children. In Mostrana you have to visit the Slovenian Alpine Museum, but you can decide to continue the tour through the Radovna valley, through the Vrata valley, or on to the town of Jesenice.

In Podkoren village you can select the road to Tromeja or Zelenci national park and in Ratece village towards Planica or Tamar. For Tamar Valley and Tromeja hill you will have to have a mountain bike and a lot of fitness – it’s uphill, but if you are just an amateur rider we recommend that you cycle further toward the Fusine lakes to enjoy beautiful views of the lakes and the Ponce mountain range.

Who cares what the question is

Mountains are the answer

If you are persistent enough or have a lot of fitness, turn towards the Vrsic Pass, where the annual Goni Poni event or the Vrcic Rush competition event takes place. You can stop in one of the many huts, visit the Russian Chapel and at the top see the face of the Pagan girl which is naturally carved into the mighty walls of Mount Prisank. You can descend further into the Soca valley, where you can see its source and explore Trenta. You can continue all the way to Nova Gorica, and return via the Predil Pass to Italy and back to the apartments, but be aware that the route is long and demanding.
