62. Vitranc Cup

The Vitranc Cup is today one of the largest, best-organized, and best-attended traditional sporting events in Slovenia and central Europe. The first skiers competed in the Vitranc Cup for the first time in 1961, and since 1968 the Vitranc Cup has been part of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. In its 62 years of history, the organization of major sporting events has been plowed, the organization has grown, and experience and knowledge have been accumulated and passed on from generation to generation. It is this tradition in the minds of the inhabitants of Kranjska Gora and the surrounding villages that gives their volunteer work a special charm and enthusiasm that probably makes the Kranjska Gora World Cup race one of the most authentic. This is why the Vitranc Cup is firmly anchored in the International Ski Federation’s calendar for the future.

In the 2022/2023 season, the Vitranc Cup will be held for the 62nd time. For two days, the best giant slalom skiers will compete on the slopes of Podkoren and fight for the top places.
