The trails of the bike park run on the terrain of the ski resort and the surrounding forests and have an average incline of around 21%. They are very varied as they are designed for different levels of difficulty and are suitable for beginners as well as the most demanding mountain bikers who have been mountain biking for a long time. From the start to the finish, there are countless possible combinations, so you can create a downhill to suit your abilities and preferences.

The Vitranc 1 chairlift takes you from 907 m to 1,200 m of vertical drop in comfort. There are 5 different basic routes prepared in advance, each with its own special characteristics, which delight mountain bikers from all over the world.

Family Business

The family “flow” trail is suitable for beginners and families as it is relatively easy, with simple facilities, and is designed to teach mountain biking skills. The course was created to bring mountain biking to a wider audience, with facilities for more advanced riders, but also suitable for beginners.

Morning Wood (Northshore trail)

The Morning Wood “Northshore” trail has many facilities including a wall ride. The route is characterized by a classic northshore style – riding on mainly wooden structures.

Funky Jazz (enduro track)

Enduro natural track provides a fun way to ride for any skilled mountain biker.

Luft Waffe(l) (air track)

The so-called “airline” Luft Waffe(l) course is aimed at the most passionate aviators, where they try to give riders as much time in the air as possible. It is characterized by high and long jumps and relatively high speeds throughout the track.

DH Veetranz – (DH track)

A classic downhill track in the Bike Park Kranjska Gora, which has hosted many races in the past. This track is suitable for experienced mountain bikers.

Equipment rental

If you want to try mountain biking on the slopes of Vitranec, they will take care of you at the bottom station of the chairlift, where there is a rental shop for protective equipment and bicycles.

A FULL DAY’S WORK FOR YOUR LITTLE ONES 😉

The adrenaline rush of the downhill experience is suitable for the whole family – even younger children – because it is safe. The chairlift takes you up to an altitude of 1200 m, from where you descend down the 1500 m long “Besna Pehta” sledding track. From the top station of the chairlift, you will find the Bedanec lodge (Bedančeva koča) with its many children’s play areas, where you can keep your little ones occupied until late into the evening, in addition to a great view of the valley.

The sled ride takes about 5 minutes, during which you will cover 293 m of vertical drop with an average slope of 20.5% and reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, which will definitely increase the adrenaline level in your veins. For the little ones in particular, this will be a truly unforgettable experience, as they will be squealing with excitement with the wind in their hair. And the safe descent and the view up to where your adventure began will convince many to return to the “scene of the crime”.

The chairlift is located in the immediate vicinity of our apartments.

Galerse
Kranjska Gora, Slovenia

Also suitable for mountain cyclists!

The walking path to Galerš is suitable for jogging or mountain biking. This is where the “downhill” course of the Robe Twist is located. The track is 3 km long and popular among all those looking for adrenaline pleasures, as it is quite challenging.

Meadows are among the most colorful and diverse living environments

From the apartments, head left towards Podkoren, and after a few dozen meters turn right across the regional road and the bridge over the Sava River. Continue to the forest, where you turn right along the forest path all the way to the wider macadam road. Turn right again and descend back to the Sava River. Follow the macadam path that leads you past Kranjska Gora along the right bank of the Sava River. At the first bridge, you continue straight, but the road itself soon turns sharply to the right and begins to climb the slope.

The last part of the route is flat and leads over pastures, where even today the surrounding farmers graze their cattle, and it also offers a wonderful view of the Julian Alps, which are located on the opposite side of the valley. The forests above the last part of the trail are well-known mushroom-picking grounds, extremely popular among many mushroom pickers.

Return along the same route, or through Kranjska Gora village center.

1994

1994 is a new trail with a very prestigious pedigree – Slovenian cross-country cycling competitors raced along a very similar route back in 1994, hence the name. The trail has been completely renovated and adapted to the needs of so-called “all-mountain” bikers.

The trail offers two ascents and descents and connects the beginning of the Drčev rut Trail Park with the already established Kinder Surprise trail. Signs lead bikers to the trail from the crossroads at Jasna Lake, where the trail climbs uphill before a short but fun descent to the Drčev rut clearing. This is followed by a second ascent and an easy ride to the next descent, which provides a fun ride to a chute climbing toward a dirt road. The road then ascends to the last descent called Kinder Surprise.

Kinder Surprise

Official MTB trail. Kindersurprise is the perfect name for this trail, it has it all (single trail, jumps, berms…) Whole circle is 10 km long and it would take about 90min to go around / the ascent is long 1,5 km.

At the top, the trail is more about a natural single-flow trail with some nice jumps and berms. After that terrain becomes steeper and more difficult. The trail is still half of a meter wide and flowy with two steep berms. After this steep part, the trail becomes flatter and more like in bike parks, with big berms and jump lines (small jumps and bigger table jumps and one step up). It is possible to roll over all jumps if you don’t want to jump them. After this section obstacles become smaller berms and waves. After the trail, you will need to cross a small creek and then you start descending on a gravel road. Later on, this gravel road crosses the asphalt bike lane. To return to Kranjska Gora you must go left and follow the bike lane.

Robe Twist

This is the first official mountain cycling trail that provides maximum enjoyment for the entire spectrum of mountain bikers. The climb itself is something special, as it constantly rewards us with the view of the Julian Alps. From the beginning, the trail takes us through the picturesque Stan valley, past Podkoren, and towards the Wurzen Pass. A little before that, turn right onto a forest road that leads us to a gentle incline on the south side of the western part of the Karavanke ridge. The time spent cycling passes quickly, thanks to the beautiful view of the Julian Alps opening behind Brvoge, where a television tower stands. Keep crossing the slope, corroded by gorges, and observe the grassy strips of the Kranjska Gora ski slopes climbing towards the peak of Mt Vitranc. Just before we reach the Jurež pasture, we take a left turn, which is only 10 minutes away from the start of the descent. The descent is simply pleasurable and enjoyable for experienced bikers as well as those who still find such routes challenging. As the name RobeTwist suggests, you will twist, lean, and bend along the path, slowly descending towards the pastures in Robe. On the entrance and the route itself, there are informative boards laying out the rules of conduct, and warning signs that will help you on your first descent. The trail ends at the Srnjak restaurant in Galerše, where you can enjoy some refreshments and share your experience with friends. The way back to Kranjska Gora follows a macadam road
